After finally getting the alternator sorted on my wifes Peugeot I noticed that when you change gear you get a loud click/clunk noise, it's not noticeable when you're driving as the engine noise covers it but I noticed it whilst stationary with the engine off. There's no problem getting into or out of gear so I'm not overly worried but is there something I need to get looked at before it gets worse? Thanks.

EDIT: reread the post.

Nothing abnormal about a bit of noise like that. Its two bits of metal hitting each other after all ;)

I was thinking that maybe there was an oil problem but then gear changes are very smooth anyway, bloody women, she put the notion in my head last night "OMG, what's that noise, it's never done that before".

Anyone know how to change the gearbox oil on a pug 206. They're renouned for having a notchy gear change but this thing is getting worse and worse.

No idea, just getting the manual for my carisma now, never had to do a gearbox oil change on a car before. Done motorbike ones. Should be straight forward, but no idea where the plugs are.
