ok ive been reading lots of threads on here and other places and people say that you need loads of Vram for games like bf3
BUT
on another thread in a diffrent forum someone put a screen shot of thier Vram usage and so did others some people were using gtx580 with 3Gb of vram and it was using 2.5Gb of Vram (some of these were screen shots of the MSI afterburner and other programs that monitor this sort of stuff and this was at a higher res than 1080p). Others were using just 1.5GB of Vram on a gtx570 and had everything maxed out and was getting good fps while others couldnt.
plus someone said that if you use all your Vram then it takes it uses your RAM
am i correct in all of this or have i got my infomation wrong?
also based on this i was thinking of buying a gtx580 with 1.5Gb of Vram but other people told me to go for 3Gb of Vram but the 3Gb of Vram cards are more expensive and not sure if i could strech my budget that far but with all this info if im gaming on a 24" 120hrz 1080p monitor i should be fine with 1.5Gb Vram right?
