Hi guys,

My guild is currently raiding karazhan, and i have been chosen as the guy to arrange and run the raids,

We have no problem taking down attumen but moroes kicks our ass every time, now we have been going for around 2 months now and still havn't takien him down, now there are a few members of the guild who have really good 70 blue/epic gear but a few who are still wearing 60 epics and even even some outland greens!

Now can anyone please give me some ideas to what the minimum stats for certain classes are?

Eg, a warlock should have xx ammount of spell damage and 8k hp?

This way i can work towards improving everyone's gear and taking that b*****d down

Thanks :)

well a tank to take on moroes and an off tank for one other. 2 shacks and its easy. lock must have plus 900 spell damage easily and plus 10k hp well at least ours have. and our mages have 12k mana. but its all about taking his 4 adds in the right order. the pali will undo shacks if you have them. and so on............... look it up on youtube lots of examples how to do it.

but have the tanks in awsome gear. one tank and one drood works very well

look at what your top raiding guilds are doing and inspect them on the armoury. for instance my shadow priest is called monty and is on quel thelas. look him up. we do moroes np.

we are currently on the prince one nights raiding and we didnt do him really annoying.

I have read the wiki page on moroes over and over and know the tactics very well, we just can't seem to get him down, our tanks and priests are pretty well geared, our "druid" tanks have 22k and 20k hp and around 30% dodge, our healers both have 1400 +heal and 300 mana regen, i think it's just dps we are lacking in :(

All I can say is glad i'm not running the wow treadmill anymore. Trust me one day you'll wake up thinking, "why am I bothering"?

Hmm, not really the response i was looking for but thanks for your input,

Just before everyone else asks... yes i have a girlfriend, an active social life, friends, a life, i just play wow when i am at my pc and bored, just like you play other games,

So please no more of these replies, thanks

Why are you failing? Is it the garotte that's killing you? I can't remember any of the names :\ but you want the tank with the highest hp/ac/dodge on him (as said, druid tank works kinda well) and shackle whatever can be shackled/freezing trapped - I think we had a hunter kiting one around and trapping whenever possible, seemed to work quite well.

Kill stuff that can't be CC'd, kill Moroes, try and heal whoever got garotted, make sure everyone has healthstones/healing potions etc.. usual stuff, then kill the stuff that's shackled etc.

Loot epix.

And since I've given a useful (I though) post. I'm allowed to say "I'm glad I'm not raiding anymore too :) Wow is crap etc."

There is no right and wrong answer to this. For example, a Mage with 11k mana and +450 spelldamage will be considerably outdamaged by one with 7500 mana, +800 damage +15% spell hit and a deep fire spec.

Similarly, a Rogue with 1500AP using a Shadowstep build will lose out big time on the dps stakes to one with 41 point in Combat who is using a couple of decent swords.

Basically if you feel your execution is good (Moroes is the real introduction to Kara, Attumen is free loot), you need to look at people's specs, kit and skill. If you read the "lolol lrn2play" posts on the WoW boards you'd be left thinking that Kara is a breeze, but it isn't for the average bunch of players. Try to encourage people to spec fully for PvE and also ensure they are using blues at least (it's really not hard to get covered in decent blues in TBC). Additionally, healers may find they have to drink a super mana potion every cooldown - are they doing this? Are your dps classes helping them out by also using potions and bandages? Run a damage meter addon and synch them up - is one person doing waaaay less damage or healing than everyone else?

Pre-TBC you could get through most of the 40 man stuff with 10 alert people (until Naxx I hear, though I didn't go there much), a few ok players and the rest lazy nubs. In TBC, just one of those lazy people will wipe your raid every single time, especially in Kara while you're learning it. You need to try and identify the weaker players and encourage them to improve or (if you're ruthless) replace them.

thats what happened with are guild we couldnt get anywhere in the 25 man stuff due to slackers so we basicly said whoever wants to progress in ssc and the eye move server and we left the people who couldnt be bothered was proberly one of the best things we ever did where as before we couldnt even kill the first boss in ssc weve almost cleared with void reaver dead gruuls lair and world bosses down nowand we have everybody attuned for the eye now where as we only had the commited players attuned before the server move

Moroes can be a bit hard but, the main thing is the execution of the fight.

If you don't have two priests you can use a hunter to kite one of the adds untill you have cleared the other ones. As some one mentioned its really important that you do the adds in correct order, which you should be able to find on wowikki or other sites with wow strategies.

If you have problems with garrote and to heal it you could have your mage casting amplify magic on the victims of garrote as this will increase the healing received.

Your mages dont need 12k mana and locks dont need +900dmg to take down moroes, yes all of that makes it easier but its defo not needed.

All I can recommend for you to do is try some more, practice the kill order and make DAMN sure everyone knows it and follows it, priests need to be fast in reapplying shackle if it breaks etc. If you have a group that raided before TBC it shouldn't be that hard, if its people who have never raided it is a bit of a learning curve but practice makes perfect.

GL killing moroes!
