Morrowind Mods

Start with the official mods which are free (unlike Oblivion) and make sure you have the latest patch. Get the QuestFix mod which does what it says. The NPC replacer (gives much better faces) is good - I think the actual download is called "Better faces". Dodge script is useful if you want to play unarmoured. But my advice is to play the game long enough to see what you don't like, then find mods to fix it. I mostly used to run small mods of my own to tweak things I didn't like (one added athames for mages so that I could role-play better for instance, and another added a new race, new classes, and some racial tweaks).

I'll suggest a bunch of mods in a while,

But first are you playing vanilla Morrowind or do you also have Tribunal and Bloodmoon? A lot of the mods are expansion specific.

Also what's your spec as this'll make a lot of difference to the number and type of mods you can run.

I would recommend the Ultimate textures pack and as Meridian said get one of the better faces or rhedds heads whatever you can find.
Something you can do is cover large areas with trees which makes it look much better although it hits your fps, there are a few mods that can be used for this such as leafy morrowind and forrested morrowind.

If you want to join the legion and keep using your own armour then get the Legion shirt mod.

Realsignposts is good,
You can do almost anything you like with it, so I recommend you have a read though and see what takes your fancy :)
