Hi there,

Does anyone know how to get the Console to open in Morrowind?

I have tried both ¬ and ~ keys.

I am running Vista, if that matters as it appears to cause some problems.

Thanks,

Moose

Here lists the console commands:

If you view the talk page, someone else is having a similar problem with the console not appearing:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind_talk:Console#Opening_console

They are recommended to install the Morrowind Graphics Extender so they can remap the console key.

Thanks for the reply and help :).

I managed to get it sorted another way in the end after my initial not working and messing my drivers up :P. Did not want to use MGE unless I really needed to as I have started my game and I believe adding mods to an existing game can cause conflicts.

Just in case anyone else has this query, it was sorted by disabling keyboard related InfraRed Devices under device manager. From googling it appears this is a Vista problem with Morrowind and possibly Oblivion too.

Another possible problem I have, maybe someone can advise on this one.

Noticed under data files (from the game launcher window) that when I view the details of my save games they appear incorrect; the day part specifically.

An example is as follows:

Save Game Name: Athena 8

Saved in Pelagiad, Fort Pelagiad
Day 17
Health: 35\35
Saved: 8/2/2009 12:22 A.M.

Double-click on this Save File to automatically check all master and plugin files required by it.

The problem is that it should not be Day 17, I have only started playing Morrowind yesterday, and only 2 or 3 game days have passed.

Does anyone know why it would be displaying the wrong day, and if there is any way to solve this?

Is it actually a problem that may indicate instability in the future?

Thanks,

Moose

I did too, morrowind just seemed better somehow.

I like oblivion too, as theres a lot of good stuff added. But i always felt they made to many changes to suit the consoles, like the UI was a pain compared to morrowind which made the game seem less adult and grown up.

I remember getting a 4600ti for that game, seeing the first opening level was amazing for the time i remember being like wow.
