Oh man, the fatalities will look utterly brutal with next gen graphics.

MK9 was decent, definitely a step in the right direction, although it still felt a bit clunky and the animations were fairly poor compared to something like Street fighter.
 
Aww yish. Love some MK and loved the last game, surprisingly good single player campaign too for a fighter :)
 
Sweet, that looked really nice.

I really enjoyed the last one but it needed some tweaks here and there so just improving on that with the new improved systems will be great.

I suck at fighting games and don't really play them but have always liked MK since playing the 1st one on the Amiga in the early 90s. It's always been the fighting genre franchise I've liked (although it still had many awful games).
Other franchises I just liked the odd game like SF2:T and Soul Blade.
 
Really enjoyed MK9 but the netcode was absolutely terrible, it's a really fun game offline though and the single player content puts other games in the genre to shame. We had an OcUK tournament for the last launch, hope we can do something similar this time ^_^

Only gaming tournament I entered was for Warhawk in the early PS3 days and I came second in EU. It was from official PSN site or whatever it was back then. We were heading out that night and my mate came over early so we could go as soon as it ended - by the time it started I'd had 4 double Scotchs so I think I was a little disadvantaged! lol

For fighting games, I spent hours working on combo's with Smoke in MK9 then my button bashing mate came over and beat me constantly with Kitana so that was the end of my attempts to be decent at fighting games!! :cool:

lol, 2nd place in EU after 4 double scotchs.. take a bow! I won a few local MK9 tournaments, came 2nd at a few others.. nothing major just 16 man tournaments etc. Started out with Ermac but made a switch to Sektor and never looked back, that dude could hit hard!

Well, 2nd in EU from that particular website - not sure how many entered but suppose it still would have been 1000s. Something about that specific game just clicked with me. I'm normally nothing special in TPS games.
The guy who won, I'd beat him in all 4 warm up rounds... :mad:

Wouldn't have won nothing anyway like it wasn't a sponsered one.

I'll make a note not to fight you in MK X then ;)
I won plenty online but most people are as bad as me - as soon as I came up against someone who knew what they were doing i'd get destroyed.
Wish I was better at them!!

I do like Ermac like, but my fave is always Smoke - has been since he first entered MK 20 years or so ago. Sektor is pretty cool too though...well, I find pretty much all the characters to be good - that's why I like the franchise so much.
The lore and characters just interest me, whereas in say SF they do not.
 
Not long until release now. This game is looking real nice from what I've seen so far. Excellent graphics, 60fps, smooth animations, 3 different fighting styles per character, awesome moves, sick X-rays, and those fatalities...mother of god :O

LOL'd so hard at this. Dat vag punch.
