Hey guys the new mortal kombat xl has a beta open until monday.

But I doubt that'll happen, but then I did get a few batman games for free from WB after Arkham Knight on PC and the troubles that game had..

I'm hoping they do the same as consoles keeping the player base together and have it as one game and not 2 separate titles which would give everyone the netkode update for free but the charge if you want the extra chracters.

It seems warner brothers didn't give up on the game after all.

Wierdly they just let everyone believe they did, when the xl trailors came out shortly after neverrealm studios said in a forum post this would be xbox and playstation only. Nothing at all has been said by anyone from warnerbrothers or neatherealm to say this is coming to pc the beta just appeared out of no where.

They better be giving us the improved online for free would be very annoying if they fixed the online but made you buy the same game again to use it.

I find the current online unplayable in 90% of the matches

I guess we find out tuesday on release.

How is the beta running for those who have tried it? Not had chance to try it yet but mkx had iffy performance and lots of lag!

I played the game for about 4-5 hours earlier and most of my matches were playable without the lag and stutter that were in the last one.

Just had a look on steam store and the xl characters are a very reasonable £6.22 for the lot and this incluides borychu,sektor,cyrax,smoke,leatherface,goro and alien plus some skins.

If anyone is unsure the update is free and you can play on online with the new netkode you only have to play to use new characters.

I wanted to play today but 23 gig update means I will have to wait until tomorrow.

I didn't buy the xl upgrade but really enjoying all the new characters to fight against plus the online now is so much better, anything below 150ms ping is great. The borderless windowed mode has been great addition.

Also think it's nice they have been letting everyone use the new characters for free on the premier living tower since release.

Seems a decent amount of players online now with most nights the social rooms getting close to 100 players. Overall they done great job fixing this broken game. If anyone wants to play me add me ginnnny

The dpad on the xbone controller would be really good for this game, the clicks are fast and accurate.

I use a xbox 360 madcatz sanwa fight stick it's great for this game and all other fighting games but you probably wouldn't want one as they're around £120 and the only other type of game you can use it for are old snes/megadrive/arcade games.

Have you not felt the difference between xbox one and xbox 360 dpad? IMO the xbox one dpad is 1000x better for this game.

Never tried ps controller.
