Hi guys,

I'm remortgaging my house to get a better rate - Initial rate over :(

Is it best you go through a Independant Mortgage Advisor or go straight to the lender?

I'm interested in a Mortgage available from Halifax, so do I go into a Halifax branch and apply for that Mortgage or go through a Mortgage Advisor?

Will I get a better deal through the lender directly?

no harm going to an IFA / IMA (same thing?)to see if they can find something that will better the halifax one :]

What I've done is use Moneysupermarket.com and used the Finance section on Yahoo to find the available products suitable for my situation, then select the one I like the sound of.

Which is offered by Halifax
