going to swap pc case very soon and while the mobo is out i would like to add somesort of cooling to the Mosfets

my problem is that i don't really dont want to glue heatsinks to the Mosfets
and the only cooler i can find with pushpins is a thermalright
and there site says it's not compatible with the board

if you look at my mobo (it is a Gigabyte p35 ds3p btw) here

it has holes for cooling to be mounted via pushpins surely there is something out there that will fit

any ideas ?

Just had a look at Thermalrights website and am very surprised that none of the 4 varients will fit your board. Why don't you measure the distance between the holes on your board and compare your measurements with the diagrams and sizes on Thermalrights website. You never know, they might fit after all. Failing that you could always use ramsinks. They only stick to the chips with tape and are easy to remove as well.

just did its 65mm hole to hole but i think i worked out the problem

if you look at the pic on my mobo the mosfet closest to the hole for the push pin (closest to the ramslots )
there is a chip or resistor or somrthing there and it sits higher then the mosfet
i am sure that will get in the way unless i dremel the shape out

i am sure the thermalright would hit it with out shaping

you say the ram sinks only stick with tape ?

worth getting do you think ?

Certainly worth a try. They come with tape pre-applied. The Zalman ones are good and are what i use on my graphics cards memory. Around £5 for a pack of 8. Enzotech do some copper ones that are specifically designed to fit on individual mosfets which may be just what you need. They are £9 for a pack of 10. There are also Swiftech MC21 Mosfet Coolers which are a pack of 4 stick on coolers for around £7-8.
