Mosfet heatsinks

I'm looking to put a mosfet heatsink on a Biostar TA790GX3 that I'm due to get as apparently they run very hot when OC'ing.

Apparently trying to find a complete cooler that fits without a headache is close to impossible (holes dont line up, too big/small/wide/tall), I have heard of people chopping up old northbridge passives and using thermal paste to attach them to the board. Anyone had any experience with this?

I've done some googling and have some ideas, just wondering if there was anyone with any first hand experience on these forums.

Was looking at chopping up http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SY-007-ZA&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=399 and attaching them with some MX3 (I'm aware that they will be forever stuck if I use this, but I really cba with thermal tape, its not like I'm ever going to take the fins off)

Failing this, should I just buy a spot cooler or shall I wait till I get the board in my hands and shop around for a pre-made option?

Thanks in adv for any help, if anyone has heatsinked their mosfets on this board and has a link to where they got it from please drop me a pm.

Cheers

I used these with some Akasa thermal adhesive pads on my Biostar X58. I'm not sure how much they helped but like you, proper MOSFET heatsinks from Thermalright didn't fit and I needed something to cool them separately after I changed the NB and SB coolers.

These are good. Comes in packs of 10 for £7.99. Looking at the picture of the board on Biostars website, i really don't think that a full size aftermarket mosfet cooler will fit between the capacitors.
