I personally prefer the roof than the window shot. The window shot isn't really anything special from the distance - it might be more interesting if zoomed up / taken closer at a little section of the windows - instead of the entire frame. (I know you're limited to the height of the window but my comment is in an ideal situation)

The roof have very interesting lighting and gives the room's light/dark tiles a very interesting feel and the symmetry of it almost leads me to wonder what's behind that entrance at the end.
 
Is it my imagination or is the roof picture ever so slightly rotated?

Do like the way the roof is lit though, was it natural or with flash etc.?

well you may be confused by the fact that the arch in the picture is actually a-symetric.

and it is natural light, with a 1 second exposure on a tripod, it was actually a bit darker than that.
 
I agree that you'd be better concentrating on the detail of the window if possible. There looks to be some nice worn colours and textures in there.

I'm not sure about the second one.
