I would disagree. Aqua just got a massive piece of metal plate over the entire board. If they had more angular lines then it would have been a piece of art.

look at that vision d, the heatsink over the MOSFET are like sculptured. The parallel lines from the heat spreader over the m.2 drive and the metal hairs for the PCIE and the metal guard for the dimm slots are all complimentary.

the designer of this clearly put a lot of thoughts into the aesthetics. Also notice the perforated heatsink over the chipset next to the metal spreader. That’s a nice detail.

they even came up with a white cover plate to cover the EPS connector so no nasty cable clutter.

a lot of attention to details on this board. Beaut

the only things I would change on this board is the socket from LGA1200 to AM4 and the label to say X570. Then I would pay for it. Hahaha

one day if the board manufactures can put all the components on the board on the back side and only have the only ones need cooling on the front side so when you look at the board it is just a slate of black with accent of heatsinks then I think we would have reached the pinnacle of board aesthetics.

I am pretty sure there are 90 degree atx connector already available.

The issue with that is the connector is massive. If you have cases with cut outs then the connector will cover up half of the cut out.

That’s it isn’t it. If everyone copies the design then it loose it uniqueness and no longer “cool” anymore.

If it is unique, it will stand pretty well against test of time.

This board would be minimalistic in design aesthetics. It is hugely popular as design philosophy from interior design to furniture to buildings. It actually go quite well with a number of cases I can think of.
