Most Brutal Games out

There is a lot of gore in SoF 1/2 but I wouldn't call it brutal. So you shoot someone in the head and you see a lot of blood splatter out, nothing outlandishly violent there. They didn't come across as excessively brutal games to me anyway!

SoF2 MP was simply awesome though! I used to play it a lot and was well known in the demo, used to mod my server with all kinda of crap! Didn't really play the full version much though, moved on to other games by then.

Supose resident evil games are kinda violent, especially when a zombie gets ya.

I forget which resident evil game it was but its the one where you start off in a street, a accident has just happened and theres flames around you. Then theres loads of zombies after you. I thought it was good. Espeically when they got hold of you and you had to struggle to get them off.

postal 2 was nothing compaired to postal 1. The first one just seemed much more realistic, sort of like carmageddon 1 to 2. The first was better because it looked good with 2d sprites but then was wrecked by "3d" block triangles

(but yes postal 2 was brutal)

By brutal do you mean just beatings and the like or gore? blood 1 had quite a bit of gore, like throwing a stick of tnt at someone. games like streets of rage had quite a few beatings moments in

and yes, sof 2, because you could do things like scalp your victims

I think were all forgetting the classic. LEMMINGS!! :D

Fun times thinking of ways to kill em all hehe. :p

Then theres Worms. Which is similar.

I remember Kingpin being pretty brutal when it first came out - I guess the whole setting, ultra violence and swearing made for the total experience.

I just thought Postal 2 was funny. Never played the SOF series.

Condemned, Doom 3 and FEAR were all pretty scary, not that brutal though.

That would be Resident Evil 2

SoF2, kill someone, take a knife hack at their face till only neck was left...

...then remove limbs with shotgun. but its quite funny to blow a leg off and they hop around panicing.

Soldier of Fortune and Soldier of Fortune 2 are the most brutal games ive ever played.

Shooting someone with a shotgun in the stomach and then seeing them holding their intestines was an eye opening experiance

Same here. I might try and find that game again cos i dont think i have my copy anymore. Never played SOF that much but SOF2 i loved, the gore was extreme sometimes.

Back in my 486 days I had a game called Waxworks, which was essentially a 3D maze crawler with some lousy first person hacking and slashing.

One of the (admittedly poorly animated) death sequences saw you being torn apart by hanging vines, another having your head pulled away by a crocodile and, the pick of the gruesome bunch, getting pulped by a giant boulder.

Funnily enough this game pre-dated ratings on boxes.
