Most demanding game

supreme commander forged alliance, if you can play the biggest map with a rasied unit count with the most cpu players to a massive experimental spam level (insted of quick rush) and not have slow down i'll be impressed.

medieval total war 2 with mods plus utlra unit mods is the most demanding on systems that I know of

seconded

on an [email protected] with 9Gb or ram i can just about handle me and 3 sorian AIs with a 4000 unit cap on the 'world map'. it slows down a bit, but christ it works out the pc :D

Ignoring RTS games with large numbers of units (simply because I don't know that much about them) I'd say something like GTA4, Metro 2033 or ARMA2.

Not as such a game but universe sandbox really pushes it for me. Especially on the setting where the andromeda galaxy and milky way collide.

Metro 2033? ( The obvious answer )

My rig only get's 20 - 30 fps @ 1920 x 1080 maxed settings.

Really? I'm not totally sure of the framerates but it feels really smooth and never stutters for me

Are you using any AA? Advanced DOF?

Yes max settings and AA.

The game is still playable however I much prefer 30+ fps and I notice the difference especially during outdoor areas.

Ahh fair enough then :)

But yeah it's pretty demanding, but it doesn't seem to ask too much of the CPU compared to a lot of other games.

Metro or Arma 2.

Does the EPU engine work in connection with the Asus automatic oc software on the P8P67 PRO?
The reason I'm asking is that the Epu engine on my P45Q board could switch off all the fans in the case in energy saving mode(utter browsing heaven!) but it would only allow a tiny oc. It doesn't work with a manual oc so they have to always be spinning:( If they both work together on the new p67 then it's good to know in my choice of kit when I decide to take the plunge.

Sorry if it's off topic but can you help answer this? I noticed you have a p867pro board.

GTA4

My FPS were dropping into the low 30's at times while playing this evening
The ingame benchmark test don't go below 60fps but when playing the game it drops

i7 2600k-@4600mhz,8Gb ram,SLI GTX 580's
