My friend is a plumber, and also works on cars a lot, his phones get thrown around and broken. Any ideas of a durable phone? a light on it would be an extra, and it doesn't have to be fancy, cheap and nast if it has to be, as long as its able to phone/text.

id have to say some of the older nokias.. im a sparky and work on cars also.. and never had any problems with my nokias... but the D500 i have here is nothing but trouble..

take a look at the nokia site and have alook :)

i would but my connection seems to be alittle slow atm :(

took my 5 mins to post this lol

I'd agree with the older Nokia's. Ive had my 3510i about 2 and a half years. Ive thrown it, dropped it and even dropped it in a pint!

Its survived everything ive thrown at it, and yes it might be a little old, but it does a dam good job. They can also be picked up for £15ish off the auction site!

nokia 7210, i have had this phone for over 2years and my mate had it for a year before that, only gave up the ghost last week when i had it in my pocket with coins and decided to run, but it ran without a front cover for a month taking loads of abuse! simplicity always last longer than any of these new fangled complex phones :D
