Lol @ people saying bomb disposal... scary, yes... exciting, not so much!

Lol @ fast jet being moderately boring, after a while.

However after watching The Hurt Locker it does look rather exciting! :p

Fast jet boring?
I've played flight sims for the past decade and love every minute of it, I can't even imagine what it's like in REAL LIFE.

Imagine going around a roller-coaster a 100 times, even though it might be fun first time, the G force is going decrease your enjoyment quite a bit.
I will stick to the ground, can have just as much fun without having the horrors of 5 G on you.

Depends what you like doesn't it.

If you dislike combat but love engineering/fixing planes etc working on planes out in the middle of no where with hand tools instead of machines etc would be great for you.

You get to do lots of varied work, pressure and speed, odd conditions, and more importantly highly skilled hand work over simpler machines would be better satisfaction.

but don't ever lose your keys during your work as they'll ground all the jets till they're found :p

I spent 16 years in the RAF fixing the finest aircraft to grace the skies but can honestly think of nothing worse than flying in them all day. Especially the little fidgety ones.
