Don't know if this should be here or in La Cuisine. Move it if needs be.
A lot of people here have eaten foreign food, I'd like to think we all have, even if it's just a Lamb Bhuna. But then there are some people who won't even do that.
Now I like to think that there is absolutely anything I'd try, at least once. I've eaten everything from crickets to cow intestines and zebra meat and a couple of weeks ago I tried some isi ewu, or Nigerian goat brains.
However, I think I just met my match. In a supermarket I found an Iranian drink called doogh. Can't be that bad, I thought, maybe it's like Turkish ayran, which is really nice [similar to lassi, sort of]. After one go I thought "hmmm could be OK", the second nearly made me throw up. Now, maybe I just didn't get a good brand but this is not for me. A carbonated yoghurt drink with added pepper. The rest of it is nestling nice in the bin.
So, adventurous food trypes of OCUK, what is the most "exotic" food or drink you've had, and which did you like and which did you hate?
