So this has to be something that isn't really worth it.
Polishing the inlet pipes on your Ferrari 360 doesn't count.
Ideally something fairly ordinary, with no point to it, motivated by boredom.

I'll start off with trying to clean up the engine bay of a Seat Leon 1.4

I think it's a nice thing to do :D Not futile!!

I fixed and upgraded the folding mirrors on my Civic.

They hadn't worked for the first 3 years I owned it, now they auto fold :D

I need to look at mine - one had never folded properly but it hasn't really been something worth bothering about.

Shut off device (SOD module) seems to be the most common fault.

Both of mine were gone, I got two replacements off ebay for 35 quid. Easy to fit. You can also fix them if you own a soldering iron.

Nothing car related but i re-concreted the foundations of my daughters swing as the originals were far too small for the forces involved. I also jet washed my garage roof and fixed a load of wiring for outdoor lights. I also managed to snap my ladder in the process :p.

I am waiting for some quick connectors for my car charger though. Looking to make a setup where I can just drive the car into the garage and plug it straight in without messing with crocodile clips and popping the bonnet.

Good job it wasn't your banjo!

:D

Plan for today is to clean, clay, polish and wax my wife's Polo... which then probably won't get driven for a month and be covered in dust by that time!

One of mine doesn’t fold in properly, what did you have to do? (I could just google it but since the discussion has been started here ;))

Being as we don't use the car due to lockdown I have found the battery is draining a bit -One when I need to go in garage to do something and start it up and drive out and also same back in and another is the android radio keeping itself topped up.
So set up my new charger and topped up the battery but this charger when finished will switch off the charging and revert to trickle charge - So now it is showing 12.7v - it has been down to 12.18 and it wasn't starting on first press of button.
