As we all know there have been many many sequels this generation. Sequels to games from this generation, last generation and even from many many generations before. So in your opinion, what is your most improved sequel this generation?
For me it has to be Tomb Raider: Legend followed by Tomb Raider: Underworld. Ever since Tomb Raider III the series went down a very steep hill. Tomb Raider: Legend was the first game I purchased with my Xbox 360 and I was very sceptical about it. I never read anything about it before and hell I'd never even heard of it before but since I was a fan of the first three I thought I'd give it a bash as it was only £15. Loaded the game up and the stunning musical score of the title screen gave me great hope. Then the intro of Lara scaling the cliff face was fantastic and was what Tomb Raider was all about to me. Then started playing and learning the controls and just having an explore. The graphics in my opinion where some of the best at the time, very impressive stuff.
7 hours later and I'd finished the main story line and was very satisfied. The story was engrossing and the game play was spot on and never felt like a chore apart from the odd boss. Over all it felt like a Tomb Raider which is exactly how it should be.
