Hi all,

I need to add a wireless access point to my network. I also need a small switch so figured a wireless router with the routing functions disabled would be ideal.

Which make and model would be best for this? Billion 7800N?
Reliability is most important, don't want to be often power cycling the device.
Needs to have reasonable wireless coverage (open plan office, one partitioned office).

Can a lesser Billion model be used since the ADSL chipset and functionality will be unused?

Cheers for any advice.

I have used the Draytek AP-700 and AP-800 successfully on multiple installs now, pleased with them and they seem very reliable.

I need to install a wireless network in a large house that has lots of other 2.4Ghz networks near by.

Most of my customers hardware can run on 5ghz networks of which there is only one in range.

Which WAP is recommended? Able to broadcast 2.4 and 5Ghz networks concurrently?

I know Draytek have an add-on USB module for the AP-800. Seems a little crude though?

I use the Netgear dual band routers as APs. WNDR3700 is the model. Probably a new model out by now, but I've got half a dozen of them in use as APs currently working fine.
