Most secure CPU heatsink?

I've preordered a Q9450 for my new rig and I'm looking at my cooling options...I was wondering which one is the most secure and has the best mounting. I have to move my comp a fair bit (Uni) which involves a 45 minute car trip (and navigating several flights on stairs in my college). So I really don't want something which is going to rip my motherboard in half ;) I've seen some people raising concerns with the Zalman and Thermalright mountings so I'm a bit wary of this. Of course, I'm looking for the best cooling performance possible as well (plus I'm going for a Thermaltake with a side fan...which I gather rules out the TRUE anyway). Thoughts?

can you not just remove it for the journey if it's a one off?

or if you just lie the case on it's side it should be ok.

Unfortunately we're required to move out of college every term so that means at least 6 car journeys! That said the heatsink on my current comp weighs in at 700g...was an absolute bitch to fit though and I wouldn't fancy removing it several times a year!

Unfortunately I'm not quite ready for watercooling. When I get settled (with a job!), yeah...but air cooling will do me fine for now. I know it's stupid but I'm still a little wary of water + PCs :p
