I want to get to know my way around OS X as i use one at work and so far i really like it. But at the moment i dont have a mac and i dont think ill have the funds for one for a while.

But i see that you can buy the os from the apple store or other online retailers. I was wandering if i could just install this on my pc (make a seperate partition?) or will i have to save up and get a mac mini or something?

I am also thinking about doing some apple qualifications so my cv is more varied (only got microsoft/pc ones atm), what do you guys think of learning from the apple training series books? and do you think that i would need a mac to practice on?

Sorry to bore you but one day i would like to completely move to mac.

This would be a "Hackintosh" conversation (running OSX on non-apple produced hardware) and those have been banned from these forums.

also if you want to broaden your CV from just Windows then you would be better of learning linux and getting to know the terminal.
