Most user friendly version of Linux

Hi guys, my father in law still has XP on his PC, I was explaining he is at risk when going online with it. I want to put Linux on it for him to make it safer, but he is not very good with computers. What would be the best version of Linux for him, so it isnt a huge shock going from XP?
