Most worthit xp or vista for this spec

Ok so i have a laptop with this spec

2.0ghz core2duo santa rosa
4gb ram
8600m gs
1 gb turbo cache

I am currently using windows vista 32bit adressing about 3gb ram of 4gbram and currently my turbo cache is bugged so i need to format the laptop to make use of it.

Ok so you guys out there which os do you recommend to go for?
Does turbo cache work under xp?

So if i re-install vista 32bit im going to get 1gb more turbo cache.

If i get xp im going to loose 1gb turbo cache and dx10 in which i don't really care because im soon getting a new pc for the new dx10 mmo and an 8600m gs isn't powerfull enuf to handle dx10.

So will i see a performance increase going to xp from vista or will i loose performance because i loose my 1gb turbo cache under xp?

Keep Vista. You won't get TurboCache on XP (not that it matters with that much RAM anyway), but Vista seems the more appropriate OS for that sort of spec.

Ive just prosted on laptop forums.com and they all recomended me XP because they said that turbo cache was crap and ive read some reviews about it which said that sometimes it can slow down your laptop:S.The guys there told me that some who have downgraded from vista to xp seen far better framerates in games.

My laptop is almost same spec as yours,however has only 3GB ram with no turbo cache,its fine for gaming within the capabilites of the 8600m gt chip(in my case),no reason to downgrade to XP IMHO.
