MOT advisories advice F32 BMW 2018

Hi,

So had my MOT done recently and passed but had the following advisories

Front Brake pad(s) wearing thin both (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
Rear Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement both (5.3.4 (a) (i))

I have a 2018 BMW 420i coupe F32.


Now I have the Brembo brake pads added to my basket so I can get them replaced. However when it comes to the 3rd advisory (arm pin) I'm not too sure which exact part I need as it says 'both'. The one I've been able to filter down to is the Optimal suspension arm bush (inner left, lower right) from eurocarparts. Does this mean I require two of these?

Im a noob when it comes to repairs of cars so any advice or help would be appreciated.

Who's going to fit said parts? I would just let them source them if you're not going to fit them

call the mot centre, the advisories are always very vague.

yes as above let them price it up and what you need then you know.

Garage will fit it, however I can source parts at a much cheaper price from network.

fine but i doubt they will honor any problems with the warranty, the thing with getting your own parts is fitting them yourself or mate not the garage.

Are you working in the trade?
From my experience, garages usually refuse to install customer supplied parts.

Some garages will fit customer supplied parts but most won't because if the part fails you'd be badgering the garage not where you got the parts from and most won't want that hassle, trust me garage's get the parts cheaper than you can but they add mark-up to cover for such situations as a part failing in 12 months and them having to replace at their cost
