I've started checking out 2nd hand cars for old MOT advisory notices.

Am I right in assuming that any advisories that were on there in a previous MOT but not in the most recent have been fixed? Or is it possible that one garage put it as an advisory and the next didn't think it was so bad?

Cheers,

G

its possible for the next test to not even mention them or even think different.

Doubt many advisories get sorted so I'd check

some advisories are more discretionary than others. For instance i got an advisory on my front brakes purely because he couldn't see them properly. These were only changed 2 months prior to the MOT, not exactly an advisory i plan on "fixing"
