Car doesn't side repeaters in the front wings

Its got indicators in the wing mirrors.

Do these need to work for the mot?

Is it the same for cars as it is for bikes? If so just pull the fuses for all lights and tape them over, "Daytime MOT" achieved. Then learn your hand signals for indicating and never drive at night.

Doesn’t matter whether they’re on the wings, in the mirrors, or the car has wrap around front indicators they have to work, unless your car is pre 1/4/1986.
They’re there for a reason.
Ah, just seen who the OP is, I shouldn’t have bothered.

Can't be bothered making a new thread.

I have a 1999 mercedes clk. Some chicken jocky knocked my o/s wing mirror mostly off. Glass and plastic all smashed. But potentially crucially the indicator bar is fine and working.

I bought a replacement from a breakers. Fitted it. Motor adjustment works fine but for some reason the indicator doesn't work.

How do you change the indicator bulb on a 1999 mercedes clk?

I had to temporarily cable tie some Mondeo side repeaters to my Manta because someone had replaced the wings with pre-86 ones and I realised about a week before the MOT

Lol, but why even advise it though?
They are either there and working, or they're not.
Pedantry at it's finest.
This is the same guy who tested my Volvo on a day when it was minus ten and said "Windscreen washers inoperative, presumed frozen" and he showed the the washer bottle which was literally a solid block of ice, so I think he was just one of those people.

It can get a bit daft, but to be fair, the person presenting a car for an MOT has to make sure sure all items are working and are testable, and if they're not then don't expect a pass.
