MOT query

Hi,

Just a quick question regarding MOT.

My car is waiting for a new fuel pump in order for me to get it back on the road again (hopefully thats all it needs) however the MOT ran out on the 28th but ive still got a months tax on it.

Some people have said i need to declare the car SORN but i thought that was if it had no tax.

Is there anything i need to do?

Would like to avoid a fine!

If it has tax then you dont need to declare anything. No MOT means its not legal to use on the road, some may argue you cant even park it on the road but if you are certain its still roadworthy I think your ok really.


If the car is to be off the road till december then you may want to cash in the tax and declare it sorn

im hoping to get it sorted this week, just waiting for the fuel filter to turn up from GSF and i can hopefully get cracking on it
