My Mercedes has indicators in the front light cluster, the rear light cluster and on the wing mirrors. I am under the impression that all lights need to work to pass an MOT. One of the bulbs in the offside wing mirror indicator has blown. Will this be an MOT failure?

And on a related note does anyone know how to change the bulb in the wing mirror? The manual only mentions the front and rear light clusters, I can't see any real easy way to access the wing mirror and I really don't fancy paying for a main dealer to change a £1 part.

reverse lights dont need to work (they do not need to be present and if present arent actually part of the test, tho you might get an advisory), everything else does need to work.

Ive no idea how you get the merc lenses off tho ;)

Hmm, does it say in the manual? The Merc manuals are pretty good, although I thought these indicators were LEDs, so not sure if they're 'user serviceable'.

Your point about the LEDs strikes a chord so perhaps you're right and they are not user servicable. Would explain why I can't find mention of them in the manual. :(
