One of my headlights has a stone break in it, I assume this is an MOT failure? Where can You get lens repair tape from. It's mentioned in the MOT manual. But I can't see any on Halfords online.

Also the gasket between the middle and rear exhaust box is leaking. Is that an mot failure or just a advisory?

blowing can be a fail if its noticed. it won't help your emissions much either.

Slap sealant everywhere unless you give a ****.

not 100% on the headlight crack, although it should be really. Your not allowed to drive with the glass completely missing I know that. Even though you still see people do it.

Rubbishy, hope parents will lend me there car for a few days. Went to get tax and found out MOT ran out 2 weeks ago.

Also any idea what the plastic engine tray protector thing(stops water splashing the underside is usually called?

I love www.breakeryard.com

Look at the price differences.

Price : £40
Part Warranty: 60days
----------------------------------------
PartType : Other
Part(Details) : RADIATOR,
Part Condition: USED

Or

PartType : Other

Anyone any idea the cost of fitting a radiator? As it's usually a pain in the rear.

That price of £100 for a used radiator is shocking, I can sell new ones at work for less than that. Some are quite easy to fit provided you have easy enough access, usually only a couple of screws/bolts and a couple of clips holding the pipes in place.

Yeah usually not much holding them on. It all depends if it will drop out, or if you have to dissemble anything.

I don''t get on with radiators. I've broke them in every single car I've owned.

where do you work? sell bits for Mitsubishis?

Blowing is only a fail if the tester deems it excessive. I passed my mot with a leak from the rear backbox joint as well as the front manifold downpipe joint. But as previously mentioned it can cause a failure due to emissions.

That's good. It's not excessive. But I'll get some compound and redo the joint just to be on the safe side. But the headlamp, hole is right above the bulb, so it does affect the pattern.
I found out my normal tester has retired, hence the panic.

Agreed, apparently my Volvo has had an advisory for minor exhaust leak for 3 years.

The 306 passed last week and that has a chip/hole in the headlamp glass.

is it really a fail if you have a cracked headlight?
mines been cracked for a few years.
