Someone very kindly knocked off my passenger side wing mirror a week or two ago then buggered off without leaving any details (no surprise there).

I've bodged it back on and it's miraculously more or less ok, except the glass has a crack right down the middle. Visibility has not been compromised, but with my MOT due next week, will this be a reason for it to fail?

That link specifies "an exterior mirror fitted to the nearside left hand side when seated In the drivers seat" as an obligatory mirror... but does go on to say it will only fail if it's "so damaged or deteriorated that the view to the rear is seriously impaired".

Cheers :)

The Mrs picked the car up for me last night and just looking through the forms they gave back, one of them is an advisory note to say the passenger side front disk brake is "slightly pitted".

I have no idea what this means, can anyone shed any light on it, and is something I should worry about?

Have a look yourself. If the Disc is fine, ignore them
I'm no car mechanic, and I don't fully understand what "pitting" means, hence my asking.

I'm assuming it's something irragular on the surface of the disk itself, but I'm not a position to know what I'm looking for, or how bad what I might spot would be.
