I had a hole in a cv gaiter caused by a spark off of an angle grinder about the size of a pinhole.
I noticed the hole when the inside of my wheel got covered in CV grease, since the joint wasn't making any noise I filled a syringe with grease and injected it back through the hole then glued the hole closed and placed a small rubber patch over it for added security. I did all this on the advice of a mechanic with 20+ years experience (after he inspected the joint and said it was not damaged).
Would this fail an MOT?
Also my rear stub bushes are very worn, a mate said it was not a failure because it is bolted through and therefore not possible for the axle to come out. Is this true?
