Mot retests

I recently took a 1995 fiesta for an MOT, this was probably a week ago. Anyway it failed on the lower suspension arm and the rear off side break. My dad reckons that if it is repaired within 2 weeks then it only has to be tested on the items that failed. Is this true?

That used to be the case but nowadays with the new electronic mot system they have to redo the whole mot.

Oh OK now I'm worried in case it fails on something else.

Read the back of your failure sheet, tells you everything you need to know. Previously it was entirely upto the garage, now everything has to be done by the book (or rather by the computer).
