Hiya,

I bought a 2nd hand car recently that used to have a private plate on it. It had it's MOT with the private palte before being re-registered with a new plate for me.

The MOT doesn't match up to my new plate. Am I driving round without a valid MOT - therefore no valid insurance?

Does anyone know how to sort this out? (I'm still waiting for the v5 to turn up from the DVLA) Would they help if I give them a ring?

Cheers Chaps :D

I expect you will need to get the mot updated how you do this I don't know. can't find anything on dvla website at the moment

Cheers for the REPLIES :)

It all sounds a bit of a **** up. I think the reg doc went back before the MOT was done. I'll wait to see if there's any info on the v5 when it turns up....

I had this woth my P1 when i bought it. I sent the Mot certificate of to the Dvla and it came back with a big stamp on it with the correct registration and a signature.

this was a while back i called them and they gave me a Reference number to send with the certificate.

I would think now its all computer done and they would just reprint one..
