MOT without cons: use government test centres

Guys,

Following on from a tip I saw on MoneySavingExpert.com I booked my car into a government test centre the other day and passed no problems

The government test centre is the place where ambulances and council buses etc. go for their MOTs and servicing - they usually allow "civilians" to bring their cars round. The difference is they're not licensed for car repairs so there is no incentive to sell you anything

Passed with a kind advisory as to my tire tread depth which was close to the limit. £40 all in
