Mother board problem

ive just rebuilt my pc and turned it on for the first time on the lcd poster screen comes up with testcomos Whats That mean and how do i sort it out. Never come across it before.

What motherboard is it? Is the rest of your spec the one in your signature?

Can you be more specific the detail message, please?
Is that the LCD is configuring itself for the display resolution?

I change from a q6600-Q9650. turned on pc and on the LCD poster screen thats running off motherboard comes up with in this order cpuinit-detdram-testcmos and stays there. theres power to the some of the fans but now boot up. nothing on screen

You need to update your Bios, the Q9650 is a newer CPU so the motherboard does not recognize it at the moment, update your bios and all will be fine.
