Hi I'm having problems with a new build. The SSD drive is not being detected by the mother board or the bios. I've formatted it on my laptop so I know it's working.
Specs are: gigabyte g1 sniper motherboard. Samsung 120 ssd. It's just not showing up when I'm installing Windows

There is a motherboard forum above, maybe this could be moved there.

Have you tried other SATA ports?

Unplug any other SATA devices and try plugging it in on its own. Make sure the motherboard BIOS is up to date as well.

It may be because you are using a SATA port on an addon chip, rather than the main bridge. As others have said try a different SATA port. SATA 0 should be a safe bet.
