Motherboad/cpu spec

Having decided that i don't need the newer i7 cpu, i've decided to go with a quad core processor.

Can any one recommend a good cpu and motherboard combo + 6gb's of ram.

that cpu will clock to 3ghz np you may want to buy a 3rd party cooler if you want to voerclock and only buy more than 4gb of RAM if you are running a 64bit OS
