I have practically finished my parts list for my PC. However I am looking at the MSI B550 tomahawk motherboard, it has all I need except the connections on the back are very limited. I don't mind upping my budget a little for a motherboard with more connectivity/future-proof. Would welcome suggestions. Looking at the MAG x570 Tomahawk (dont need the wi-fi) or the Asus TUF gaming x570-plus

Also why do manufacturers add HDMI and display ports on the back of the IO when a huge percentage of people connect to their graphics card or are there motherboards out there that leave these unwanted connections off and add other options or leave them off for a better price out there.

I will be connecting my monitors to the graphics card, as always any advice on a different motherboard appreciated. Willing to go up to around £200. Thanks

EDIT

Just wondering when I add a PCie storage it turns off 2 sata ports. Maybe a stupid question, but if I later add another PCie 4.0 storage card will that turn off another 2 sata ports? Only leaving me with 2?

X570 motherboards tend to have more ports , etc as it's the high end chipset for Amd .

motherboards with hdmi and display ports on the back are for people who want to use an integrated gpu such as the 3200g.

b550 gigabyte arourus a.c. seems to have a lot.

Thanks for that, Think I will go for the MSI x570 seems good for the extra £60 I was going to spend on the MSI B550
