Motherboard and cpu combo help

My cousin is wanting me to build a new computer for him, It's mainly used for work and the odd game of css.

anyway,

Wanting to know if

this motherboard

Asus M5A78L-M LX

will work with the

AMD Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4100 Black Edition 3.60Ghz

out of the box? or will it require a bios update? (never performed one before)

or is that cpu just over kill for what he is likely to need?
 
yeah you need 0510 for that chip, well for css its a huge overkill but its always good to leave some room for future upgrades, he could base this cpu around next future rig,

i mean i play bf3 on everyday basis on a 3.6 quad and it still has more than plenty of room for some background apps to be runnig like WMP, torrents etc.

quick guide:

dl the newest bios which is 1003

put it on a pen drive make sure its in root (just use clean drive)

plug it into first usb slot, the first one on the left and furthest down(on the io)

start the computer with chip and rest in, you wont boot but dont worry, either go to bios if you can that is and upgrade from there using "EZ Flash" utility or if you cant get into bios(i cant remmeber its been too long lol) then it should pick up the drivers on power up and prompt for installation
