Motherboard and ram to get a Q6600 running at 3.2GHz

Got mine running at 3.2 with just a small bump to vcore using below. Had CPU running as high as 3.7 with same combination but didn't wish to keep it there and no doubt it wouldn't have been Orthos stable.

Asus Maximus x38 mobo (comfortably best board I've owned) &

2 x 2 gig of OCZ pc2 8000 C5 Reaper X HPC (though to be honest you don't really need this ram as I was achieving the same results with OCZ Platinum Revision 2 PC 6400).

You'll get your 3.2 easily with this combo. ;)

Didn't realise you were on a budget!

Got there comfortably with a P5K and a P5K-C (Both Asus p35 chipset) and nicely priced. Not up to speed with P45 - maybe this is a better route :)

Thats whats confusing me, I really can't see the difference in the P5Q pro and non pro either, is one a better clocker? Unless its just the crossfire support?
