Time for an upgrade.
Just looking for the best bang for buck Intel mobo bundle.
Currently got a Q6600 on a G31ms2l mobo , Corsair 650w , GTX1050ti.
Budget £500 maybe a bit more.
Would i be better off waiting a bit , did see something about a new AMD processor in the pipeline.

Kaby Lake is not exciting, but RYZEN is. If you can hold off on your upgrade for a few more weeks (months?) it may be worth your while. If AMD continues to sell it's CPUs at prices that undercut intel, you could get twice the number of cores for your money. And these aren't your old crummy AMD cores, they're as good as Intel cores now apparently.

I'm not saying you'll DEFINITELY get a better CPU for less money, but it is possible. If you want to hold out for that possibility it may (but also may not?) be worth your while.

Also the 1050Ti is pretty new so I'm guessing you just got it and don't want to upgrade it now, but AMD VEGA GPUs are coming soon and supposedly the top one out-performs GTX 1080.

If you want to buy now, have a look at an i5 bundle with an H110 motherboard, maybe an i5 6500. Get 2x8GB of DDR4 2133 (H110 only does 2133). If you don't already have an SSD, it's a good idea to get one.

Also remember to reinstall windows when you build your new machine, if you will be carrying old storage drives over. Wrong chipset drivers will be on your HDD.

What PSU do you have? Is it 10 years old like your CPU? If it is, not a bad idea to swap out for a new one. Superflower Golden Green HX 650 is cheerfully cheap and quite decent for the money, if you do need to upgrade. If your PSU is 5 or less years old you're good. (Power supplies can last decades, but I don't like to re-use really old PSUs just to be safe. Ripple could develop, etc).
