I am looking for a new Motherboard that would fit my current Intel LGA1150 4790k but I have noticed that they are slowly becoming unavailable.

Are there any other motherboards that would suit this chip and also include a PCIe 3.0 x16 for GTX 1060 and also an M.2 connection for my new EVO 970 Polaris SSD.

I am currently using the SSD with an adaptor on my z97 PC Mate motherboard and the drive itself will only Read at 1600 instead of the advertised 3500 Read speed.
Also the Magician Software isn't compatible with the SSD yet apparently.

I have tried to find a work around for the drive speed and all I can find are replies saying "Use an M.2 slot".

Those chips really hold their value - as they're a great way to extend the life of an older PC.

If you're replacing the motherboard - it might be more cost effective to buy a newer socket - and sell the CPU and replace it with something newer.

I didn't want to replace the motherboard but it doesn't have any M.2 sockets.
I used the M.2 to PCIe x4 adapter but since installing it, Windows installed perfectly on it. fully installed and updated to current updates within 30 minutes.
But once the magician software was installed the drive doesn't seem to register above 1600 read speed when benchmarking it with the magician.
And apparently the SSD isn't compatible with the latest Magician software so cannot activate rapid mode either.

I have looked online for the last couple days trying to find a work around and all I can come up with is either my PCIe slot is running it too slow or it was only intended to get those speeds in an actual M.2 Slot.

I was also going to try purchasing the M.2 to Sata adapter to see if that boosted the Read/Write speed but I haven't found any information on this process yet so am unsure if I would just be wasting more money on another adapter that could potentially go to a new Mainboard.

Currently my 850 EVO is running 5 times faster than the new 970 EVO SSD lol

Yes. The adaptor is an M.2 to PCI-E x4 adapter card.
supports upto 2280.

I have my GTX1060 in my main PCI-E x16 G3.0 slot and is running at v3.0 x16 (8.0GT/s) @ x16 (2.5GT/s) and the adapter in the 2nd PCI-E slot
But I cant seem to find what speed the 2nd PCI-E slot is currently running at.

Magician says its only running at PCIe Gen. 2 x 4 which I think is what the problem is.
Think its supposed to be Gen. 3 x 4

Ok that confirms what I was thinking. Your 2nd Blue slot is only a pcie 2.0. So that will be the reason for the slower speed. You could swap the gpu and adapter card around to test it.
