First off, its not a connection problem persee; Other computers in the house and broadband TV works without any issues. I have been in touch with BT who have assured me the connection is fine - as it appears to be to me. I have swapped ethernet cables and tried different ports on the router.
I bought a 'Titan Goliath' Intel Core 7 System on 16/05/09 - despite repeated attempts to contact Systems Support via phone I have been unable to get through - phone many times a day and it is engaged.
I contacted on Support they said very busy and post here.
I have been running Windows 7 some time (on old computer) without issues and when new arrived I decided to try it. Worked without hitch for two weeks - better than Vista.
However, for a little over a week now I have issues connecting.
It got so bad I even tried installing Vista. I got the message:
Windows Network Diagnostics...
There are driver or hardware problems with the network adapter "Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) on this computer.
I reinstalled Windows 7 and it had the same problem; I rebooted the machine and the computer repeatedly tried to reboot - it appeared to be stuck in the bios part of reboot.
Eventually I turned off the computer and left for an hour; rebooting it this time, had a very large number of full stops scrolling along and down the screen very rapidly(NOT like it was waiting for a CD/DVD boot option).
It came up with a 'Checksum Error'. It rebooted/reset the checksum and since then the computer boots fine, yet the internet connection rarely connects without me doing a Network Diagnostic.
I suspect there is an issue with the motherboard, but am looking for suggestions and the chance to actually speak to someone from Overclockers.
