Motherboard connections Question

Hi Guys,

Wondering if someone can help me. I am hoping to purchase a new PC as soon as the conroe chips from intel are available. And i was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for me to connect these to a motherboard

Connect 2 Hardrives in Raid 1
Connect 1 Harddrive in no raid
Connect 1 more Harddrive in no Raid
Connect 2 DVD writers.

Basically i want my main drive for windows and apps to be in raid 1 for additional security.

Plus 2 additional harddrives for storage - i would like to have these in raid 1 but i dont think i can afford it.

What you guys reckon? is this possible. also if anyone knows if i can do this in a better way, please do advise me.

I would do RAID 1 for your storage and a single drive for windows/apps partitioned (so you end up with C: Boot/Windows, D: Apps, E: data/storage.

As for attaching to a single mobo - no problems at all.
