It's time to upgrade my i7 930 that I've had for 4-5 years now.
I want something that's reasonably futureproof, would be suitable for VR gaming (and other gaming) for a number of years.
I'm considering one of the bundles with the CPU/heatsink & RAM installed and configured as I'd very much like to do this with the minimum of fuss.
I'm a little out of the loop concerning current kit, but was looking at the cheapest of the Z170 bundles (asus Z170-K) with 16gb RAM,

would there be any real need for me to go for something 'above' this? If not, is the default cooler fine? (I like things quiet but the graphics card tends to dominate on the noise front).
