hi,

yesterday i overclocked my cpu to 3ghz (q6600) i added no extra voltage all settings where on auto. i played crysis for several hours also. i then did a virus scan and left the pc on over night.

i woke up to a frozen screen, so i powered off and rebooted. now i cant reboot. i get no post, no beeps and a blank screen. the fans come on and dvdv drive light comes on as does my hard drive.

has my mobo died?

tx in advance

Unplug your PSU

Take out the motherboard battery.

Go and make a brew

Come back to pc and re-insert battery

plug power cable back in psu

boot pc

Say thank you

Never leave V Core on auto when OCing with an Asus board, it will automatically adjust it to what it thinks it should be which may be a lot more than you actually need.

i have tried reseting cmos with the jumper and i have left the bettery out and replaced tried several combos and on own. a lot of times nothing still no post beeps etc.

however it has posted twice once though my monitor and the second time through my tv (both are connected). once i was in the bios i changed i few settings, nothing major like trun of ide change graphics to pci-e then it would freeze in the bios. on reboot back to square one no post beeps etc..

i have tried a different card, unplugging things one by one and still no post or beeps.

any ideas?

this system has booted for months with both cards with no problems. im really thinking the board has had it. unless anyone can think of any other ideas to try?
