Could anyone recommend a motherboard for a Windows Home Server please?
I want to be able to have at least six SATA drives, and expandability, price and stability are the priorities. I'll probably be using nothing more than a Core 2 Duo E2140 and will not be overclocking.
I was wondering about the following:
Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R (no eSATA or Firewire but 8 SATA)
Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (no eSATA or Firewire but 8 SATA)
Abit IP35 (no eSATA)
Foxconn P35A-S Intel P35
Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3P (no eSATA (?) but 8 SATA)
Asus P5K-E WiFi
Firewire and eSATA are desirable from the point of view of adding external storage.
The Asus looks to be first choice but are there likely to be any problems with drivers for WHS? Should I be taking a completely different approach towards expandability of storage?
