Motherboard Help

I need a new motherboard but don't know what to get my price range is anything up to £100 and needs to be LGA775. I looked at a few motherboards and like the look of some of the nVidia chipset motherboards but I already have a ATI graphics card can I use this card with a nVidia chipset mobo? Thanks for the help.

Oh yeah and another thing do you have to have two of the same graphics cards to have them in SLI or Crossfire?

have a look at the DFI Blood Iron P45-T2RS, within your budget.

ATI cards are set to crossfire, nvidia to sli.

the mobo specified will run one card at x16 speed and another at x8 speed in crossfire.

x38/x48 motherboards can run both at x16 speed, but are a bit over your budget.

You can run single card solutions on any chipset - ie your ATI card will work on a Nvidia chipset.

Like every other P45 based board you can either run one slot at x16 or two at x8 each. The P45 north bridge only provides 16 lanes so x16 + x8 isn't possible.
