Im looking for a i7 board but it has to have a specific feature, and that is that it must have a suficant spacing between pcie slots for my 5870's, as i dont want them sat right on top of each other.
Being that i have a choice of either 6gb sata or 3gb sata mobo's there is only 1 board within my price range that is able to offer the spacing im after, along with a pci slot vacant for my xfi card, the Asus P6TD Deluxe. Now this board has 3gb sata, and from what im hearing / being told usb 3.0 and sata 6gb is a future proof solution.
The P6TD Deluxe will have a vacant pcie x4 slot that could house a controler card for sata 6gb and usb 3.0 should i need it in future.
Am i right in thinking this would be a workaround for not getting a board that comes with the sata and usb3.0 pre assembled.
